Kissed under the mistletoe

https://ladiikeiii.wordpress.com/2019...

***+Not many spoilers, but there’s a few... no, just a little!

I am glad that this was short. Because if it was any longer. I would’ve been over it.

But the story was interesting and kept me wanting to know what will happen, even though I knew that Braden would’ve gotten the girl Michaela. I liked the fact that he finally got to explain to her why he didn’t show up at her door for the dance? Prom? Whatever...

That Poopy girl or was it, Poppy, 🤣 anyways; you could tell that the Poppy girl was jealous of Michaela, though, how she ignored her when she asked to be the volunteer for prom. But at least Braden (who I kept saying; his name as Brandon🤣) which it’s not. But at least in the end that they both told Poppy off because she deserved to know she didn’t win anything because Michaela got the guy and Braden didn’t want her after what had happened.

Review: The Harder You Fall

The Harder You Fall The Harder You Fall by L.A. Cotton
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

***Spoilers are everywhere in this review so beware***

https://ladiikeiii.wordpress.com/2019...

~~~This book is an ARC; I was given the book for my honest opinion, I can say I was not disappointed and can say; I liked the third book better than the first and second. Though those were five stars too along with this one. It was just to much based on Tractor guy or whatever Thecther fool name was... but at least he got his 🤣🤣 ... ~~~~
I was ten times hype when; Asher went a got his girl (more so protect) his woman when Jermaine went a grab her wrist. He tackled him... I was like yassssssssssssssssss Asher. But then I was like that was Jason 🤣...
But then when Jeremiah followed Asher and his parents to his house was ridiculous and uncalled for. He could’ve let Mya go knowing that she moved on. He only realizes his mistake when he accidentally shot Asher mom when “Asher” charged at him when he “Jeremiah” went at Mya. I knew somebody got shot even before it got to the part about Asher's mom.
In my head, I was like LA Cotton better not let Asher mom die. Lol! I was like girrrrrl! 🤣
But anyways.... but let me get back to the beginning of what happened before Jeremiah pop up unannounced. I want to say I cannot stand Asher, dad! That man was full of dog poop! 🐕 💩 Like literally, he was. The only time he considered his family (his wife and his son) feelings was when his wife Julia, got shot in the neck. But he was still a prick when it came to Asher and his feelings for Mya. & Mya with her being from the “hood” and Latino, he felt like Asher only needed to date white women. But I liked that Asher wasn’t having that! Because that town definitely was full of white privileged and Mya showed him that it was.
But I only wanted to slap some sense into him (Asher) with what that happened to his mom! I was like he kind of blame Mya. But that crap doo-doo wasn’t her fault that was all on Jeremiah wait is that dude name Jermaine 🤔🤔🤔.... heck who knows 🤣🤣🤣 I know it’s Jermaine lol!. Other than that, I understood where Mya felt like she was an outsider in that town and with his family and people from school and beyond! When you a person of color dating someone who is white... white people will look at you funny and be like tf? But not only that when someone of color date someone white or another race people (blacks) look at those people like tf? Because they feel like that person disrespecting their race and dating outside of their race.
But I liked the fact that Asher didn’t give flying grape jelly about what other people thought about them. Even though if you are someone of color, people who are white will look at you like tf... because my niece felt that way when was with her boyfriend, who is white. She’s black... she felt everybody was looking at her... & I did felt awkward when my dad dated my brother's mom who’s white, and I was around his mom's family at an amusement park with them though I was 1 of the 3rd blacks with them.
But I was glad when Mya came to the terms Asher being white and she’s being Latino... he didn’t care about what anyone thinks he only wants to be with her and I was glad when he stuck it to his dad and picked Temple University to be with Mya. Even though; his dad stopped being a prick and looked out for what he wanted.
Other than that I’m a get back to the beginning... but I never started from the beginning I started in the middle... but I only wanted to say that... Mya at first she was pushing Asher away and running away from him... I thought for sure that Asher was going to chase her (follow her) to Philly. But she came back for him. When she realized the person who Jermaine became... that boy wasn’t trying to change at all.... and I was waiting on her to actually tell Asher that she gotten abused by those people in Diaz crew but she never utters a word. But at least, in the end, Asher finally told Cam and Jase about his dust bunny of a daddy.
But as we realize in the world even if it’s fiction (as In books) or real-life... these things happen with Race, Family disliking someone you date, money, rich people (the parents or parent; treating their children like crap and or controlling their lives and that child turn out to be bitter and evil to half of or most of the people that work for them or worse)... hence; this book is fiction; I was glad that Asher went the correct route and followed his dreams and not his fathers dream for him...
*** PS. I love reading interracial books no matter if it’s a Black/White or White/Latino... it makes me happy that we all don’t have to date inside our race to make ourselves happy. Because we could be with someone who’s a different race than us who he or she can turn out to be the love of our lives...****
Review: This Time It's Different
This Time It's Different This Time It's Different by Melody Summers
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
It was definitely was different !!
https://ladiikeiii.wordpress.com/2019...
Spoilers... throughout this review; So beware of the spoilers...
Glad, I finally got to read the last (not sure) but the next story to the Bayview High series. I do wonder if it will be another, especially when the author mentions Ursula lot in this story with Syndi. If she does, that will be an interesting story.
Besides that, I was glad that Sydni has friends that have her back when it comes to bullying. I am so against bullying. & was glad that Cayden took up for her in that bet store. I felt like Kathy and Olivia was jealous of Sydni. Also, before I forget, I remember that Kathy used to date Nikki's brother, it'll be interesting if Ursula would be the one to change her brother ways and vise versa. Besides that, I still think that more so, "Kathy" was jealous of Sydni more than Olivia. I think that Olivia was just a follower. I was glad that Kathy got what she deserved being kicked out of college for her bullying ways. That's what she got for being a mean witch!
Not only that, I was glad when Sydni finally got away from her alcoholic aunt.; I literally was waiting on her to get an alcohol position or die. Just because how if she treated Sydni at least she didn't (stop) getting that money that was coming for Sydni staying with her. I was glad that Dani's parents came in to save the day and let her stay with them until graduation once she turned 18.... plus they also kept Joey (the hamster). I really didn't want her to get rid of him or sale him/her to anyone.
Besides that, I was also glad that Cayden proved his cousin and everybody wrong about how he felt about Sydni. He even proves to her by staying another week to go and get the girl he actually wanted and cared about. In the end, I was glad that they ended up together. Because he didn't care about what she wears. He thought she was beautiful regardless. & that's what I liked!!!!
Review: The Revenge Kiss: A Sweet YA Boarding School Romance
The Revenge Kiss: A Sweet YA Boarding School Romance The Revenge Kiss: A Sweet YA Boarding School Romance by Julia Keanini
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
It was a good story; with a good revengeful kiss.
https://ladiikeiii.wordpress.com/2019...
So I am not sure if there will be a lot of spoilers in this review, but if so, beware...
Okay, so I was waiting to read this book. And not once was disappointed. I figured when I was reading Marley and Nash's story that London and Jet had a thing for each other. For how much they bicker towards each other.
I also want a book with her sister Dakota. Since Alana, have her book. I am going to start real soon. Besides that, I am going to continue to tell my thoughts on this book. Though, this one will be short.
So anyways, Collin thought he was going to hurt London in reality, he didn't. What he got was dissed towards the end when they were at Jet's national championship basketball game. He tried asking London on a date... he wasn't a real man and didn't even care about London the way that Jet cared for her. She finally saw that he had a feeling for her after they are broken up during prom, & vise versa...
I was glad; at the end that they figured things out and started dating foreal instead of fake dating. Plus, London finally told her mother what she wanted, which was a good thing for her.
Review: The Risk
The Risk The Risk by Callie Rose
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
The title fits its name; they took some risks.
https://ladiikeiii.wordpress.com/2019...
This book may have a lot of spoilers, and possibly have just a little I'll see maybe.. we'll no you'll see too once I start my review.
Okay, I was itching to read the last story of this series because I was like have to know who set Harlow, mom, up. My first thought it might have been Lincoln's dad; then, after a while, I was like hmmm.. when I was reading book 2... then towards the end of that one, it turns out it was the Judge who went out on a date with Harlow mom. I mean common sense would've told people to look at where and who she was with that night, but nobody actually did ask where she was at. They just went on whatever false evidence that was sent to the detective about how she did it and what evidence was in her car.
When the whole time, the killer was slapped dead in there faces. It was good that they all the Kings and Harlow found away to find Iris killer and to get her mom out of jail for something she didn't do... reading this will make you feel like in real life there are people who are in jail with false evidence on them. With the help of the police department eg, even the rich! But at least everybody felt some time of way after learning that Harlow's mom wasn't any killer; everybody should've known that anyway, regardless of what she did with that doctor when it came to Harlow having cancer. That was totally different.
Judge Holloway got what he deserved too. I'm the end, plus those other guys too who tried to kill the Kings and Harlow. Because the only way that freaking detective was going to believe anything they had to have accurate evidence. I also don't believe that Holloway even talks to detective Dungeon. He may have found out on his own by others in that department. Plus; only good thing came out of that situation was him saving Harlow by killing that drug trafficking guy... I can't even or car to figure out how to spell or remember his name... 🤣
Review: The Kissing Game: A Sweet YA Boarding School Romance
The Kissing Game: A Sweet YA Boarding School Romance The Kissing Game: A Sweet YA Boarding School Romance by Julia Keanini
I still can’t believe that the academy is called “Kiss.”
**There’s a possibility that there might be a lot or fewer spoilers in this review***
Okay! So before I start, I want to say I wasn’t sure about this book. Because of what it was named and on top of that, no... let me backtrack, I wasn’t sure about this book because of the description of the book. I was like, I don’t know if I am going to like this book.
But once I started, it turns out to be a pretty good book. I was glad that I got around actually to read it. I liked Nashville and Marley's story though both their names are horrible. I liked their story. Especially when Nashville twin? Triplet, or is it just his sister. I know it mentioned something about twins and the other half ... but back to what I was saying. Especially when his sister London knew that Marley had a thing for her brother and asked him if he liked Marley when they all were at the diner... but I kind of figure that that Jet had a thing for Marley and London had a thing for him. Still, she was trying to deny her feelings for him. Due to the fact that he liked Marley...
But what she doesn’t know is that they will be together real soon. Lol 😂... but anyways; I thought Marley mom did need to get put in her place I mean she couldn’t base her life on her daughter life because Marley could meet someone who was and is different from her dad (Nashville) and don’t get pregnant young and run her career to become a professional soccer player... I was glad that her mom realizes that in the end, when Nashville followed them from California... he was even going to leave Kiss Academy so that Marley could come back. If that wasn’t love, I don’t know what is...
Plus that Natalia girl was just horrible. I was glad that Dakota got rid of her as her friend because Dakota was to nice to have someone evil as a friend. Especially when Natalia lied about her arm being hurt with a water bottle😂 like she was doing too much. But in the end, she still looked like a jealous fool because getting Marley off the team didn’t work on it lead her to Nashville, the one guy that Natalia wanted... she (Natalia) played herself, and Marley won because she got the guy.....
Review: The Lie
The Lie The Lie by Callie Rose
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
This was really good!
https://ladiikeiii.wordpress.com/2019...
There are a few or more Spoilers thrown into this review.
This book was so good. When Harlow kept thinking it was Lincoln's dad, I was like it can't be Lincoln's dad. I couldn't picture it even though he was a liar and a cheat. It's also crazy how Lincoln learn who his mom was waiting; I am not sure he did... I'm still trying to figure out if Paige is his mom since Lincoln's dad got her pregnant and mentioned to him his mom died. Also, I kept thinking that the murder could've been Audrey... but after reading the ending; it makes me wonder if it was actually Judge Holloway... since he did take Harlow mom out on a date or two... plus he didn't want to help her.... but not sure if he still does even though he asked her questions about her mom case.
I can't wait to READ the last book to learn what happened next and who the actual killer was.... since I know it was a man who got her (Iris) pregnant and frame Harlow's mom for the murder. I still think that Those people in that town are idiots because what reason would Harlow moms have in killing Iris... those people are idiots, even Savannah, I can't wait until the truth comes out and people learn who that person is...
Review: Misadventures of a Time Traveler
Misadventures of a Time Traveler Misadventures of a Time Traveler by Angel Payne
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
I don’t know if there will be a lot of spoilers or just a few, but once I write, we’ll see.
https://ladiikeiii.wordpress.com/2019...
Okay! I am going to start off and say that I wasn’t into this book at all when I first started this book. I had to stop reading it and started on two other books than come back to this book. When I got back into it, it was kind of good. But not 100% I know that I wasn’t bored with it... but after a while, I was kind of ehhh about it, but I wanted to know what happens next.
Alessandra.... she was kind of annoying because she had so much proof of who Max was... like it took her until the end of the book to tell him she LOVED him and that is what saved him because he was fading.
Even her friends Reagen and Druce and her PR Dimitri knew that Max was the Prince? From 1789... wait, I think he was a prince 🤣I can’t even remember, but I was happy when she finally saved his life.. but I will say this, I did like “Misadventures with a Super Hero” better than this book... I don’t know about this book.... it wasn’t interesting, but it did have interesting parts in it. When I first started, I was between giving this book two ⭐️ ⭐️ or three ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️... but after getting halfway through this book, I decided on giving this book a four ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️...
Review: Keeping It Secret
Keeping It Secret Keeping It Secret by Melody Summers
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
***Spoilers in this review; but not that much***
https://ladiikeiii.wordpress.com/2019...
I liked this book. Awhile back, I didn't know she added wait no I think I've seen this book but never gotten around to reading it. Since I forgot all about the series after reading book 4... I was glad I figured out where Nikki comes from this book. Since she friends with the other girls. Also, I think she was mentioned in the book with Delaney and Walker. His name is still hilarious, "Walker Dean."
But besides that, those girls are so horrible (Kathy and Olivia and their friends), and even Nicole's brother was a horrible person. Jealousy didn't do him any good, especially when being jealous of your younger sister. You could tell that he dislike her but I wanted to know what was his reason. I am trying to figure out if I read his reason. I can't seem to remember. But I was glad when she told her parents how Kathy was and showed them the video because her brother didn't have anything to say but be bitter.
Plus, her parents came around after realizing it was stupid for breaking up what both Nikki and Ethan had going on. Just because he was a college boy. I was like, but y'all know him, so what's the problem. Bad enough, Olivia was a problem with being a psycho and a stalker, but glad Dani removed her from their lives along with Kathy with the help from Sydni with that video...
But I can't wait to read Sydni's story and learn about the guy she's going to meet. I hope her aunt isn't so bad, but I know she is but hope she ends up staying with her friends when things do get rough and don't lose her job.
*spoilers**
https://ladiikeiii.wordpress.com/2019...
I often come up with blank thoughts when I finish a book. Like at this moment, I am not sure if this review will be long because I can’t think of anything!
So with that being said.....
I really liked this book; it was way better than the first book with Reagen best friend Halley and her brother. This one was way more interesting. After reading the book with Halley, I definitely wanted to read Reagen's story since the ending of book one had to curious about the picture the random guy (aka Noah)sent to Reagen.
It’s still cute how they met, not the picture 😂 but with him saving her in the fire and both of them not knowing that they met each other until he heard her name and she saw his tattoos at the hospital. It’s also good that her family actually liked Noah, that’s the best part when introducing someone to your family. They have to like them if they don’t they’ll be mean or not want that person around!!!!!
Review: Misadventures with a Twin
Misadventures with a Twin Misadventures with a Twin by Elizabeth Hayley
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
***Not that many spoilers in this review**
https://ladiikeiii.wordpress.com/2019...
I cracked up when he said, “my twin daughters better not date twin boys” that was funny. But I still would’ve thought that was cute twins dating twins.
But anyway, I really enjoyed this story. I was waiting until the ball dropped when it came to Colton telling Zara that he wasn’t Corey. I, too, understood both of them from him, not telling her who he really was and for her to get mad. But I felt that she had a right to be mad but also had no right to be mad. Because for one, she messed that up herself when she thought Colton was Corey because she assumes things by how Colton was acting. Then once she got to know Colton and learn who he really was, she figured out the difference between the two.
But I felt like all of that could’ve been avoided since he could’ve told her at the hotel he wasn’t Corey or when he went to pick up his necklace. At least, in the end, they figured things out and apologize for lies, etc...
Besides that, I wouldn’t mind if Colton twin brother Corey end up with a story of his own since he wants a happy ever after. That’ll be interesting...
Misadventures at City Hall Misadventures at City Hall by Victoria Blue
***Busting down in this review; with a few or a lot of spoilers*
https://ladiikeiii.wordpress.com/2019...
This book was also an ARC, but I been busy with other things to get around to reading it... (hitch: school and reading other books).
So regardless of this late review, I wanted to read this book still. I even have a paperback book. Because I wanted the collection... I read the ebook instead since I have more time with reading the ebooks since I’m in college, rather than reading the actually hardback or paperback copy of this book
So with that being said.....
This book may have ten chapters. But the chapters were long enough to keep your interest. I actually enjoyed this story with Kyle and Skye. When I was reading the story about her best friend, “Oliver” in Misadventures with a Book Boyfriend” with Bailey, the woman he fell in love with. I just had to well no... I couldn’t wait until Skye get her story. I even knew she would’ve gotten her story even before finishing that book.
I also want to mention that I want Laura to get a book too. I am so curious about her too. Other than that, I did like the fact, regardless of how rude she been with him (Kyle). He didn’t care one bit about her attitude lol. Plus, I thought it was rude and weird that he was also running for City Council as what she was running for... but at least, in the end, he dropped out. Because for the one you could tell he didn’t even care about becoming a city council at all...I also thought that maybe he had a thing for Skye when they both were at UCLA... especially if he just randomly came at her at the food place with her best friend, Laura, not only that he was so determined to have her.
I also thought it was a bit creepy 😂🤣 ... IDC how fine someone no way I just randomly kiss someone unless I am trying to smash or whatever... it was just weird regardless of how they knew each other. Plus, I think she may have hated him at college; because she may have had a thing for him on the DL. But at least in the end they both well more so Skye figured out what she wanted in the end. I was waiting for her to get pregnant, but it never happened. Lol!!
Review: Misadventures in Blue
Misadventures in Blue Misadventures in Blue by Sierra Simone
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
** Dumped spoilers throughout this review**
https://ladiikeiii.wordpress.com/2019...
I had got this book as an ARC, but it took me a while to actually get around to reading it on top of me having school, and reading other ARCs and even other books.
I can say I am not disappointed at all. I definitely enjoyed this book. It caught my attention from beginning to end. Plus, I like the fact that this book is based on a young guy and an older woman since it’s always the older guys who gets, the younger girl or guy. I already knew she was older since she kept saying “young man” 😂😂 I am like if that isn’t an older woman’s word. I don’t know what it is. Lol
But he wasn’t playing any games; unlike Kenneth, he couldn’t give it to her as Jace could. & he was older! Make as an older man he just couldn’t please her like her ex-fiancé who had died, and Jace... she always was frustrating. Still, I could always understand where she was coming from... because 'one' her fiancé had died doing his job as an officer and she felt like the same thing could happen to Jace too. But what was frustrating was she kept pushing him away without realizing even though that happened to Frazer doesn’t mean it could happen to Jace.
Though it did happen to Jace since he ran into the place when Cat was talking to Gia.... this exact same thing happened with Frazier he did the same thing ran into the place when Cat was trying to calm the situation but in the end Frazier did die... and Jace didn’t he did get shot though but lived...
I was glad that it was here who came to apologize because I have come around and read books that the person who wasn’t in the wrong was the one to go and chase that girl or that guy and get them back. Instead, Cat finally figures out what she wanted, which was Jace and stops running from her feelings. In the end, they ended up married with their first child though I was waiting throughout the whole book for her to get pregnant.
Review: The Kissing Tutor: A Standalone Sweet Romance
The Kissing Tutor: A Standalone Sweet Romance The Kissing Tutor: A Standalone Sweet Romance by Sally Henson
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
best friends to lovers
https://ladiikeiii.wordpress.com/2019...
***Dumped a bunch of spoilers all through this review*****
I didn’t realize this book had 36 chapters until I got tired of reading when I got closer to the end lol... like chapter 35/36. I was over it and was like dang this book must have been really good that I didn’t pay how many chapters this book had.
But enough with that, I actually enjoyed this book. It was actually a good book. I enjoyed it and wasn’t disappointed. But I did think that Tommy guy and London girl were evil people. Especially with calling her names because of a kiss. Plus, I felt that maybe London could’ve been jealous of Tommie. & the ‘guy’ Tommy I didn’t know what his deal was. PlusJames, I just thought he only showed Tommie's attention when he found out how close Roan and Tommie had gotten with each other.
Because at first, he didn’t say anything to her and let the jokes about her having fish lips when she kissed him a prom. Well, more so, he kissed her by grabbing her behind and messing up her first kiss anyways. & made her the butt of the joke.
But you could tell that she had a lot of insecurities and doubts about herself and stayed comparing herself to her sister, in reality, told her that she (Maddie) was jealous of her (Tommie) it taken half of the book to show her that she was beautiful. I guess other guys also thought she was beautiful too. Even Roan though he always acted weird around her when she dressed up. But I could tell he was attracted to her.
But in the end, he had a hard time showing her what he felt for her because he kept pushing away from her. To denying anything was going to between them too; to him stop or wouldn’t look at her or hold hands with her in public. But always popped up when James was around 🤣 like I felt he was jealous when James did say or tough her. But like I said, James was only around for that one reason he seeing them kissing in the rain after batting cages (baseball)...
9 out of 10, I figure someone did show them kissing. I also was glad when Roan came to his senses because he really hurt Tommie.. & he finally proves to her at graduation by showing a slide show of them in public around everyone that they are together. I did want to see what Tommy and London had to say, but they were never mentioned again... since the party where London showed the fish lip kiss between James and Tommie at prom, during James' party. That girl had a serious jealous problem.
Review: Broken Empire
Broken Empire Broken Empire by Callie Rose
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
Sure was a broken empire + home.
https://ladiikeiii.wordpress.com/2019...
***There's a bunch of spoilers thrown around in this book review****
I finally finished this book, though I’ll never be done. But what I will say, I thought for sure that Adam Pierce has something to do with why Mason and the guys hated her and to why Adena hated her too. But in reality, he did have something to do with it. But differently, because Cole's father killed him. The thing is Cole's father was a horrible man and even the rest of the guy's parents. Besides Talia's mom Charlotte, Adam Pierce, Mason ‘Mom’ and even Cole's mom ‘Alice,” she really hated what had happened and finally snapped when she walked into what was going on in the warehouse with her husband the Princes and their parents along with Talia. I wouldn’t blame her for killing Cole's daddy. He deserved that bullet to the head, for beating “abusing” Cole the way that he did. & also, maybe Talia fake dad did what he did because he knew she wasn’t his child, but it was still wrong; that was probably why he died from being so dang evil...
Though; I figure someone had killed Talia's mom Charlotte I was like that car accident sound mad familiar to Talia, at first I am like it had to be Adena. But come to find out she only keyed that girl (Talia) car, whereas Cole's father was the one that did what he did to her breaks that lead to that girl almost dying. Which is a shame, like how can you kill both of these girl parents don’t feel remorse for it that man was pure evil... and then that was what lead Mason mom to kill her self because she couldn’t live with the guilt of the murder of Talia parents...
I think that Mason and Cole's mom and even Talia's mom should’ve gone ahead and talked to the police or something for anything that could’ve happened to Charlotte. Still, in the end, Talia was the one to lose everything like both parents and even an evil foster parent, dad, as you may as well say....that what he was because we learn that he wasn’t her parent and Adam was.
Besides that, I was glad that Adena got what she deserved because she was just an evil person and didn’t deserve to be the prom queen and got thrown off her high horse and expelled from the school. Even if she didn’t mess with Talia breaks and cause her to have the accident, that didn’t mean that she didn’t deserve payback for what she did to Talia from Freshman year to Senior year, I mean jealously would make someone do bad things that they can’t get out of and that what happened to Adena.... everybody that was following her didn’t even have her back 🤣...
But at least, in the end, everything turns out good when the truth came out about everything with the Princes and Talia parents. Plus; I did like how Cole mom Alice helped Talia get her inheritance from her mom and not have her in foster care back in Saint Valley or whatever that place called it might’ve been Sand Valley 🤣 I don’t even care... but if Alice knew I think that she would’ve understood that Talia didn’t have a choice but to come back due to what the judge told her. But I liked that she did because she wouldn’t have gotten justice for what happened to her parents, pack for what the princes did to her. Nor would she would’ve fixed her relationship with her grandparents (more so grandfather) until her grandmother learned the truth of why Charlotte acted out; and left. I know that guilt ate her grandmother up, but oh well. Sometimes it doesn’t take a person to be so mean to someone when they don’t know the truth...
Review: Road Trip with the Enemy: A Sweet Standalone Romance
Road Trip with the Enemy: A Sweet Standalone Romance Road Trip with the Enemy: A Sweet Standalone Romance by Kelsie Stelting
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
It turns out to be a good book!!! I'm reality he wasn't the enemy. She was just upset.
https://ladiikeiii.wordpress.com/2019...
*** There's a bunch of spoilers throughout this review; so beware of the spoilers***
When I first started this book and checked how many chapters it was. I was like lord here we go with a book that has more than 20-30 chapters. Once I went back to reading this story, I actually finish it fast. Because it was good and kept my attention. At first well more so I was hoping it didn't take forever to tell what actually happens to Sydney twin brother Greg... I finally learned that he died in a car accident, leaving a party that they went to (Greg, Sydney, and Jeremiah).
I didn't like the fact that Sydney blames herself and even Jeremiah for her brother's death. When in reality, it was her brother Greg daily that he died... because he chose to get into a car while drunk and end up dying. More likely whatever he hit; it was a fast death (I can't think of the word you use for that), but anyway, I was glad when Jeremiah told her she shouldn't blame herself because it wasn't their fault... but she ended up getting mad with him over something true.
It also sucks that Liam died too I thought for sure he would've gotten that scrapbook before he died, but he didn't. At least both Sydney and Jeremiah completed that marathon for both Greg and Liam and even for themselves. & Gabe both Liam and Greg the "marathon medals" and told them they did it... I thought that that was sweat... I was also glad that Sydney realizes that nothing was her fault and didn't blame herself anymore and moved on. She also needed to tell her parents off, and she finally did... & her mom finally put her brother pictures back up because I thought it was ridiculous anyway to remove his pictures when he died. That's like you are forgetting that person. But once her parents got a divorce, her mother put the pictures back up. Her dad moved out, but Sydney and her mother moved on, whereas her father didn't. Her mother and aunt Karen moved into another house together while Jeremiah and Sydney went to college.
Besides that, I liked how both Sydney and Jeremiah gave Liam mom the scrapbook after they ran the marathon in New York, and Sydney's mom is there for Liam's mom and vise versa since they both going through a lost!!!
27 Ways to Find a Boyfriend 27 Ways to Find a Boyfriend by Shari L. Tapscott
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
27 ways....
https://ladiikeiii.wordpress.com/2019...
•••Spoilers but not that many...
So okay; at first, I was like, ehhh. I’m not going to like this book. But it’s often due to the fact that I’ve read other books. & start on another my brain started to flatline... so with that being said... I actually end up liking this book; I also can’t wait until I get around to reading books 2 and three though they are about different people.
Also; I didn’t like how Addison dad was so controlling he looked at her like she was ONLY fifteen or something and not a twenty-four year old... clearly he didn’t want anyone with her... especially Carter, when Carter was there for her through everything; even when she got Cocoa (the dog) to her also hurting her hip bone... her father knew that both Carter and Addison liked each other but he kept trying to push them away from each other... but in the end nothing work...
It took Carter sister Jessa to get them together; by making that list, to begin with, without that list, both Addison and Carter may not have gotten together in the end. I had to laugh when Carter kept messing up her list, when he kept popping up everywhere she was at...
Also, I was glad when she put her dad in his place; both her (Addison) and Carter didn’t care about what her father said...
Review: Defiant Princess
Defiant Princess Defiant Princess by Callie Rose
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
Awesome read!!!
https://ladiikeiii.wordpress.com/2019...
****I dumped a lot of spoilers into this review***
We all trying to figure out who this Adam Price guy is when it comes to the five princes parents and Talia (mom) they all were in the photograph with Adam Price; it got me thinking maybe it Adena dad who knows until I read book 3.... to find out all the secrets. Because for one, Talia ended up in the same position as her mom “a car accident”.... but did her mom truly died. We don’t know because for one, Talia breaks were cut and no telling what she hit on her way to Finn house...
I am still stuck on why do Adena hate her so much it doesn’t have anything to do with Mason at all because clearly when Mason was mean to her Adena was still coming for her... it has to be a reason; it’s either has something to do with this Adam Price guy or clearly Adena mom maybe...
But I did figure that Elijah and Finn didn’t hate Talia as much as Mason and Cole did. Because I got that vibe before everything went to crap.... they always liked her; because I felt that they went along with everything Mason wanted until Elijah finally snapped when Talia came back... & him and Mason got to fighting which I liked because at least they finally stood for what they believe in no matter what Mason said.... plus all four are working on getting into good graces with Talia again. Not only that, I’m glad Talia and Leah finally started talking again and she’s (Leah) not bitter and mad at Talia for believing in whatever crap the princes had going on for her to stop hanging with Leah...
With that being said, I cannot wait until they seek revenge on Adena and her crew because that girl was more horrible than the princes, though when I think about it, they are horrible too for what they did. But at least they stop. But for Adena to steal that notebook and drive from Talia book bag was messed up though I was waiting on Talia to drop the bomb on them for what they did so Adena thought it was okay to do it; thinking that the princes were going to stop talking to Talia but the joke is on her..... I’m just waiting for the revenge to bring Adena to her knees in the final book. Can’t wait to read it too...
Review: Sabrina and the Secret Santa: Sweet Holiday Romance
Sabrina and the Secret Santa: Sweet Holiday Romance Sabrina and the Secret Santa: Sweet Holiday Romance by Anna Catherine Field
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
Really good story
https://ladiikeiii.wordpress.com/2019...
*bunch of spoilers thrown through this review***
Before I do my review about Trevor and Sabrina, I am trying to figure out who is Delaney lol because I know for a fact Ben was the older guy and the best friend of Gabe and Norah... who ended up with Olivia.... because I read that book about Olivia and the older guy... I guess the author got confused, or maybe Ben was with Delaney before he got with her (Olivia). I’m trying to think if that name sound familiar. But anyways...
On with the story about Sabrina and Trevor, I really had to think about who Trevor was for a minute lol. Until I was like ooh okay that who Trevor was the boy that was taking his autistic brother out for ice cream, I believe in the book with Norah and Gabe...
I still don’t remember Sabrina 🤣 in Bea and CCarter'sbook. I just can’t think of her. I just kept thinking of him as the boy who rides a motorcycle, but it might not be true because I kept thinking he was the trouble maker that Bea met outside of the restaurant that her father was at and Carter had tattoos lol! I don’t think I’m right, but whatever.
So anyways... I felt like Sabrina was petty, snobby, and a horrible stuck up person before she met Trevor. Because she thought she could get out that community service. But it took Trevor to teach her how to be a better person and not a horrible person that she was when she was with her friends. Who I thought was FAKE anyways. They were too snobby to consider Trevor being different from them. They kept calling him a townie... when he’s no different than them only he goes to public school and lives on the other side of town..... In contrast, Trevor and his friends were nice, and Sabrina and her friends were snobby... even Bea and Carter weren’t that horrible as her friends and Sabrina was at that time.
I was glad she took her community service in conSideration and decided to do it. & actually enjoyed and enjoyed being around Trevor and learning that her father didn’t care about her being with Trevor at all... when he came from that side himself.....
P.S. I still want a book with Sidney I believe he’s Gabe little brother. I also want a book with Trevor brother Jamie... his book would be so different but interesting. I’m like so Sidney never got a book, but Olivia did... I so want his story... and even Jamie’s because he seems like a bright boy even if he’s autistic...
This book was really good.
***Just dumped a bunch of spoilers throughout this review****
See, I was waiting for Cole and Amanda's story to come out. Because like Destiny and Eli. I knew they both had a thing for one another, especially with the way they always were bickering. More so, Amanda catching attitudes with Cole; lol. Which I thought was ridiculous but also understood, especially when you are passionate about something.
But in the end, they both came to an understanding of why she cared so much about the Opera house, and he can’t do anything or want to stand up to his controlling father. But in the end, he talked to his dad and the Opera house and finding a way to save it for the one girl he cared so much about “Amanda.” Which I thought was a good thing! Though she also understood that it wasn’t, Cole fought that he wasn’t the one to demolish the building.
I kind of was with Amanda when she ended up telling Cole her story before they kissed. Because all those essential documents and costumes and the picture of her parents in there too and learning where they met... it makes you said to learn someone wanting to destroy a building that seems essential. I always say when there are empty buildings, you can always make something out of it instead of making it go to waste. It makes me said, especially when you can make it out of something important, like for kids or anything activity-wise.
Learning well, no knowing this book is fiction. I came to see where I live how a lot of building here is going to waste even housing when you could either rent or make something of it. But at least Cole's dad was concerning selling the Opera house to the Lily foundation but also trying to make that place into a parking garage. Lord knows a parking garage is needed in a lot of places. Especially a busy street. But he considered his son's idea and also moving it into another area. Which I thought was a good idea...
Between that, I am soooooo ready for Amanda's older sister Stephenie book with the guy Brandon 🤣 since she clearly didn’t know she was blasting out a famous actor on her Vlog until he sent her a picture with her name and also shouting out her Vlog on his Twitter. I gotta keep myself updated on when “DON’T TRASH BRANDON TRAVERS” coming out, especially when she sends out emails.
Movie Star + Normal girl
https://ladiikeiii.wordpress.com/2019...
***Just a few spoilers splashing around•***
This book was short, but it was also really good too. It was way better than her Fallen For My Summer Fling. That book was kind of dull to me. But with this book, it caught my attention from being to end. & I was also glad when Noah got rid of his agent Spencer because, in the celebrity world, a lot of famous people do have those types of agents who don’t want them to be happy and go for things they don’t want.
It was good to see Noah speak out and told Spencer how it was and how it is with the way he felt and about where he wanted to take his career. Including where and who he wanted to be with, and that was Addie. It’s was funny how he wanted Noah with Rachel, who cheated on him with a pop singer or whatever the guy was. When neither of them wished to each other. Well, clearly, I didn’t know what Rachel wanted. But she definitely was jealous of Addie. & thought she was going to get Noah back, but Noah didn’t want fake he wanted real, and that what he got with Addie; his little dancer.
Not only that, it was good that both Noah and her uncle Mike help her to understand that she (Addie) didn’t have to live for everyone else but to also live for herself. & I was glad In the end she ended up where she wanted to be in New York City and dancing... making a career for herself with something she loved.
Much Ado About a Boy: A Sweet YA Romance Much Ado About a Boy: A Sweet YA Romance by Jeanette Lewis
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
Pretty good
https://ladiikeiii.wordpress.com/2019...
There’s maybe not that many spoilers but probably just a little or A lot...
So okay; before I even knew what was going on with her Bailey and homecoming. I figure it had to be a reason why Bentley stood her up. But I kept thinking that maybe someone in his family died. But all along it was Krista, who he was there for, which I understood his reason; because she was going through something. But I still think he could’ve at least told her why or a reason why he couldn’t come... though he would’ve lied that would’ve been worse.
He was right; it wasn’t his place to tell her. It was Krista... Krista could’ve told her the truth; when she got comfortable with talking about it. Rather than having Bailey hate Bentley. The only reason she said anything was because of Bentley coming to her and telling her what Tasha has told Bailey. I think Krista could’ve told her, and Tasha wouldn’t have been mean to Bailey and try to make fun or ruin anything good that was going for her. She (Krista) just let it played out... until Bailey was mad.
But at least, in the end, their drama teacher talked with Bailey and told her to think about the performance. And also, Krista was talking to her about what was going on at the time of the homecoming. Because what she was going through is a rough and serious problem. Especially when things get tough, also, it’s was good that Bailey and Bentley had their talk afterward and did a well-done job on their performance and regionals and actually gotten together; completely. Because everyone; knew that looked cute together & they both had a thing for one another. I think that’s why Tasha was a hater. Plus, Bentley knew that the only way he would’ve gotten his girl back was to help her get into the competition by doing a duo... that came out good to because he got the girl even though all of Tasha crap... I think Tasha knew that both Bailey and Bentley were an item and right for each other that’s why she was hating and bitter.
Besides that, I want a story with Krista and a guy she liked. I’m not sure if the other two books coming next is about her if not... I want to want her, and I want to know her story.
Definitely was some savages ... ugh just horrible. I hate bullies
https://ladiikeiii.wordpress.com/2019...
Spoilers.... splash throughout this review...
So okay, this book was really good; plus, I knew it was too good to be true when it came to them being nice to Talia.. but I also have a suspicion that Elijah is not as mean like the other three. I can't put my finger on it... I think he cares and likes her.
But with friends like Mason and Cole (especially those two) and Finn, it's hard to like someone when you are freight with someone, and they try to bring that person down. The only thing that those guys don't know about is the part where she was in the woods, and whatever happened between her and Elijah, something else between them I annoy think about. Because somehow I forgot lol. But with him, it's like I cannot see him hating her that much.
What I'm trying to figure out was... well did their parents Finn, Elijah, Cole, and Mason parents (their dads) did what they did to Talia's mom. & that was what made her run away because of something not right with that picture. I cannot wait until she (Talia) get her revenge on them... & 9 out of 10 when she does. They wack self going to try to get in (meaning: get back on her good side) I saw that before in two other bullies romance with four guys... it always was that one guy who was different than the other three. It always that one who smashes the girl first except one of the books didn't happen that way.
But with this book, I cannot wait until the next. Plus, her grandmother is one horrible lady. I think her grandfather cares. But doesn't speak up... I think he drinks because he misses his daughter who died... but who knows. I'm just waiting to read book two, so I can figure out whos going to have her back when she gets that revenge. I don't know why I'm thinking it's Elijah when he is one of the horrible princes. I doubt it's Lelia or whatever that girl's name is...
Review: Her Bush
Her Bush Her Bush by Penelope Bloom
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
%***••Spoilers... slash All through this review***•••
https://ladiikeiii.wordpress.com/2019...
Dude. After well more so when I got more into this book., I was like I really want a story with Nell's best friend, Davey... Because I do want him to find love... But somehow, I was aiming towards her sister. But regardless, I still want a story with him and even one of her sister Ashley. Other than that, I started to like this book because at first.
This book started off-dry, and I got bored with it and had to take a break from actually reading it. & once I went back and read it. It ended up getting good at each chapter. It also had me laughing at some points in the book, especially during their hunting trip. Like I was like, she reminds me of my 14-year-old niece because she definitely would've been LOUD just like Nell.
I think if that were me in the woods with Nell, I would've been mad. But reading it, it ended up funny because she ended up getting poison ivy and everything it was ridiculous but priceless. Not only that, William had me dying laughing at some point in the book where he was mentioned. I mean, in every part of the book he was in was hilarious. I also liked how that guy Damienvthough he could ruin Harry and Nell's life, but in the end, even his father knew it was a waste of time helping his son again. Because he knew that Harry was right regardless of what his son told him. Other than that, the artwork was sold, and she got to send her sister to music school, which what she wanted all along. Plus, it's a good thing that she did it on her own but also with the help of Harry.
Though in the beginning, I wanted to slap her sideways because she thought that Harry was the lier and playboy, but all along, it was Damien. I was like clearly this idiot girl doesn't see what Damien was trying to do. She didn't realize it until Harry had to tell her and explain to her what he wanted to say to her at Maya gala. I was glad that she didn't push him away after that but; ended up getting rid of Damien with the help of William, which was hilarious by the way. & not only that William's wife heating him (Damien) with her purse,🤣 she was like you not going to be putting your hands on my man. 🤣... What I did hate was when Damien tried to feel up Nell, to make his ex jealous, and the ex already knew he was full of it and also by trying to go for a kiss that led to a smackdown from both William and his wife, Hailey... But chopping Nell **** and balls bush sculpture in half didn’t help him (Damien) any. It only saved Nell and got her into selling the art she hides away in her apartment.
Plan B
https://ladiikeiii.wordpress.com/2019...
**NOT that many spoilers; since I didn't have much to say**
I've been putting this book off for a while, and I finally got around to reading it.
I can say I am not disappointed at all about reading this book. Because it's actually good, and the story was as good as her twin sister Violet. I can see they both ended up with rich men who own businesses. But I kept thinking that Kerrigan was going to end up with someone or meeting someone.
There's not much I can say about this book after reading it. The only thing I can say is that I was glad that Kyle got rid of Margo. Like anyone with the name Margo sounds like a horrible person. I also see why she didn't like Daisy too since she (Margo) use to date Kyle two years ago plus when they were younger too. Then learning that Kyle was actually looking for Daisy also and it wasn't only Daisy who was looking for him. & learning he put that aid out so that she could find him.
Also, I see why he wasn't mad when Daisy lied about them being married because he actually wanted her. But Margo was blocking Daisy from getting into the place. But if it wasn't for Wyatt, I still think she would've got in some kind of way, especially when Kyle knew she jas came.
This was actually a good book; there's much I can say about this book.
Only thing I can say I did have some good laughs while reading it. Though, it was weird and interesting to learn how Halley had raccoons for pets and feeding them peanut butter sandwiches. I kept thinking, will the peanut butter hurt those animals or get stuck. But I guess not since they came back for more.
I also knew that kissing booth was going to end up pulling then together and show them. The feelings they both had for one another. Plus, Preston's sister Reagan was determined to get them together, including Ava, because they both knew that Preston and Halley had a crush on one another. But after I got to end and learning about **** pic, I'm definitely going to read Reagan's story because I'm curious...
Her Secret Her Secret by Penelope Bloom
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
There's a couple of spoilers in and there. But probably not that many.,
https://ladiikeiii.wordpress.com/2019...
So I finally got around to reading the next book to this series. & I can say I am not disappointed. It was really good; I also can say that I knew Peter had a thing for Violet; I mean, when Derek was flirting with her on the first day, it was funny how mad he got and demanded her to come to his office. I was a dang boy; just tell this girl you like her already. But I also understood how he didn't want to trust the next female who works for him because of what Kristen did to him. Which was just horrible it's funny how people can do things to you like that and don't think anything is wrong.
One thing I can say if it weren't for him meeting Violet, I don't think he would've gotten the rights back for his book. That he wrote, when someone steals your hard work, and you have actual proof of that work everywhere, you can get it again even if you sign something or you didn't because that is stealing. I was glad he got his thriller back with the help of Violet. I did want to smack him because I thought he was about to diss Violet and not talk to her just because she never told him about her daughter, I mean who wouldn't when someone you trying to get a job from telling you, only way you get this job is if you have no obligations (like kids, etc.) at home...
But in the end they made a happy family; I also was wondering how in the world Peter and Violet fit into this series because I was like how do they know any of the guys or women in this book.. but I learn that Violet is best friends with Lilith and Peter is friends with Bruce... I also see that William still wild...
Review: Awk-Weird
Awk-Weird Awk-Weird by Avery Flynn
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
There's a possibility of a few or more spoilers than it should be in this review... but let's see...
https://ladiikeiii.wordpress.com/2019...
So okay, I definitely liked this book. I didn't expect Tess to be with a Hockey player I was for sure she was going to end up with Finn. So with that being said, I want a book with Finn since his brothers and sister got one...
But let's continue with Cole and Tess's story. I so didn't see that coming.. with how they ended up together and she being a parent... I felt like Tess was some like Lucy some-what whinny but wasn't beyond whiny and complaining as Lucy was about her weight... I understood why she felt like things were temporary. But it was annoying too because she kept on running away from things when it got series. To me, she didn't give Cole a chance to be with her, and also he didn't speak his mind in the way he felt. Like the others in the books with the hockey players, they both ended up saying bad things to each other and walking away...
But what I can say I was happy that it was a girl who got the guy by explaining her fuck-ups because clearly in the other books it was the guys apologizing when half the time the women were idiots and didn't see that the guys love them. I could tell that Cole was in love with her like he kept sending her out these voicemails and couldn't wait to get home. He even didn't care about that way. She kept bringing up random things when she got nerves. He actually answered back. I was glad when her friends Fallon, Gina, and Lucy, got some sense into her when it came to her and Cole's relationship. Because she couldn't see that Cole didn't have those feelings for Marti as he had before because both he and Marti had moved on she to herTech guy and her own to Tess. I did think that they had a son because of what was mentioned in the book with Stucky and Zara... but whatever.
P.S. this book mentioned all the guys, but Stucky, when in his book, it mentioned Cole a lot. I was like I thought they were friends where is he at... between that I cannot wait until book 3 "Loud Mouth" comes about Ian.. plus I am hoping for a book with Alex... definitely need one with him too.
Review: Parental Guidance
Parental Guidance Parental Guidance by Avery Flynn
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
This book was really good. I was glad that it actually a series about the Ice Knights hockey team. Since the Tomboy book was based on a hockey player...
https://ladiikeiii.wordpress.com/2019...
But anyway, not that many spoilers in this book.
But I will say I am not disappointed at all in this book. I had to start this story because Awk-ward had come out, and I wanted to read that one but first Parental guidance first... I think that the polar opposite does attract, and it does take that one guy to make you do things you've been too shy or think you aren't able to do. Caleb was the right fit for especially with the orgasm and liking her miniatures artisans. She was a different plus; this my first time hearing about artisans... & I love all types of art since art is my passion. Other than that.... this book was good, but I do want to know what teammate had smash Asha sister.... probably was Christean or whatever his last name is spelled like... but I can't wait to read part 2 with Cole and Tess... I didn't see that coming with Cole and Tess... this sis mentioned Cole child though so more likely he's having a boy and when we get to book two we already know this lol! I think Cole needed this change the same as Caleb... I figured Caleb had a learning disability soon as he said the letters move around. I'm like... yeah, he got dyslexia... & the teacher that made him read in front of the class every day makes me want to karate chop his *** ass hard! So wrong to do that to someone who can't read or have a hard time with numbers etc. and make it a joke. But at lease, Caleb came out strong, and he has a family in his mom and his teammates who don't care if he has such learning disability or not even Zara though she said some hurtful things at least they worked it out in the end and got married and had a daughter. Though; I did want to know where Caleb's dad went... and why he wasn't in his life...
Review: Love Lessons
Love Lessons Love Lessons by Daphne James Huff
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
More like lessons learn...
https://ladiikeiii.wordpress.com/2019...
*** There's a couple of spoilers in this review; not that many but a few****
I'm glad I got around to reading this book though it took me a while. This book is pretty different, but it's interesting to learn that these stories from this series are based on older books. That's what I never really read or want to read.
But I did like the Sonnets... & not only that I was glad that Rex friends Bronx and Reggie finally spoken up to Rex because clearly he was controlling ( more so wanted to control things) and he finally realize when Zara left for a family emergency he was an idiot to jump down her throat and was so worried about that prize that he's dad never won. & speaking of the dad... I bet he felt some way too because Rex actually won something that he clearly didn't win. Plus, he was the one to set it up (more so agree) to the group of three for the prize competition. But in the end, he got fool because regardless, Rex won even when he nor Zara was there. I think he would've been better off with his mom's help than his dad. But his right to talk to his dad to get honest answers.
But I was glad in the end that he finally came to his senses and got his girl. & with Zara he parents just wanted her to learn to be on her own without her friends or her family being there. I understand; because it's like you never want to go someplace or be somewhere alone. & you have actually to learn to do things on your own eventually. I was glad that she was learning too, and she and her friends Rosalie and Maria ended up with Bronx and Reggie.
Review: Meet Me at Half Court: All's Fair in Love and Sports Series
Meet Me at Half Court: All's Fair in Love and Sports Series Meet Me at Half Court: All's Fair in Love and Sports Series by Julie L. Spencer
***Not so many spoilers but there's a couple****
https://ladiikeiii.wordpress.com/2019...
This book was really good. For one, I finished this book in two days... I just started on this yesterday... & I'm now finished. I figured that Chris (Christine) was going to choose Dylan over Eddie... like get real who wants to date a guy name, Eddie. Dylan sounds hotter...
But anyway this was a good book. Though cause I liked how the girl was a tomboy and everybody liked her and called her Chris because of her skills on the court and being a tomboy! I don't think Eddie would've done all of the things and know all of the things as Dylan did when it came to Christine. Because all he cared about was wanting to bang her, whereas Dylan didn't mind kissing Christine but not taking it to far. I was like Eddie better not try raping her. & I was glad he didn't. & I was also glad when Chris finally realize that she wanted Dylan to cover Eddie. I mean clearly, everybody, including Dylan's mom, wanted her with Dylan. Not only that, EVERYBODY thought that Chris & Dylan were together even when Eddie was locked away in Juvie...
Review: The Help
The Help The Help by Callie Rose
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
Soon good; but the ending
https://ladiikeiii.wordpress.com/2019...
Bruh
This book was really good! Like sheesh!
***There are a few spoilers in this review***
Omg, how good is this book; like these guys were horrible to her, and I am like they have to like her. But also broken her trust in the end. When her mom got the blame for the murder of Iris. I can't wait to read book two because I want to know what happens next. But I have to read a couple of books first before I get to the next book. Maybe two at least..:
But ugh! It was so wrong for them to get her to trust them and then use her and don't have her back when it came to her mom getting locked up. I cannot wait until everything comes to light about Iris's death and among all the lies that town has... Plus, I believe Savannah was spreading a bunch of lies about Harlow. & the police are just a bad as the people. Like sheesh, and what happened on the first day of school was by far the worse, but I was glad that she didn't back down to her bullies and made them feel weak... but those guys ugh! But enough she ended up having *** with Lincoln more than once. Like she builds that trust, I was glad that she didn't mention to them that she was a cancer survivor. They probably would've used that or mistreated her for having cancer at a young age until she better; was able to live...
I definitely want to smack those guys that crap though for a lot of things like TRUST is something serious, and it's sucks when it's actually BROKEN. Because you learn not to trust anyone, especially those who hurt you. & 9/10 in either book two or three those guys going to try to get back in good with her, and I hope she either doesn't forgive them or take a while to forgive them for what they did. It doesn't matter if they didn't want to speak up; that girl's mother is going to jail for something she didn't do, and the ONLY person she has is her mother, who got taken away right in front of her...
