Review: The Locker Room

The Locker Room The Locker Room by Meghan Quinn
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

The Locker Room = what I the meaning behind the title.

Spoilers... here and there throughout this review**

Before I even get started on my review for this book. Like I want a book with Holt. Because I really want to know who this girl is that he was pending after and brought to the locker room. Also; I wonder why Lindsey never got a book when both Dottie and Emory got one.

With that being said.... man I can say I enjoyed this book. Like it kept my attention from being to end. I never got bored or anything like I normally do with long books. When I was reading this book., I was like yes Emory not getting on my nerves.. but then she got on my nerves.. lol I was like dang I spoke to soon.

Because I got to the part where she broke it off with Knox. I was so rooting for them. But I also knew it was to good to be true. I knew something was going to happen to break them up. I also understood where Emory was coming from when they broke up but I felt bad for Knox because he was giving her his all. & all she done was push him away. But I understood her because she been in this six year relationship then moving on to something better which was Knox.

But I clearly still wanted to slap her because she broke up with him. Then stayed in freaking Chicago and didn’t left. I was like OMG really girl y’all could’ve worked out. You done broke up with him for nothing. When you stayed in Chicago after college. He was drafted to the Chicago Bobcats. I was this heifer here. Then to top it off she never let him know that she was still in Chicago and then say he was into Mia. I mean I guess she suspected him to pin after her without dating anyone even though both of them dated someone. Which I agreed on especially for Knox.

Since she broke it off with him. I could tell she messed with his head. Glad that Carson helped him get his head in the game both in college and when he got drafted. But what I was glad for was that both he (Knox and Emory) finally banged each other. Since they had a bet going on through junior year of college to hold out. But wait that what I wasn’t really glad on I was REALLY glad for them finally getting back together after eight years of being apart. Heck both their moms and friends was happy that they got together finally and even asked her to marry him & she ended up pregnant. I’m like THANK GOD.

Even though I read this series backwards

Review: Misadventures of a Biker

Misadventures of a Biker Misadventures of a Biker by Scott Hildreth
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Spoilers.. here and there

https://ladiikeiii.wordpress.com/2020...

I couldn't wait to read this book. Was counting down the days. Lol finally got to read it, though I would've been finishing this, so much was going on.

But I can say I wasn't disappointed in this book at all. The author did a good job. Plus, I thought Devin was a nice guy, and he did get the stick out of Teddi's ass. Because it was up there hard before he came around. Also, I liked how Katie was looking out for her.

But didn't agree on telling each other about the guy they both were dating. I know some females do that even in fiction and real life. But that is not something you'll want to do because 9/10 that friend would bang your man.

Besides that, I liked how Devin looked out for females and took up for them and got at the men that hurt both Katie and Teddi. What I will say before I mentioned anything else about Devin and Teddi is that I hope Katie and her guy get a book if there own. That would be interesting!!!!

Also, I wanted to slap Teddi at the end when she thought Devin was going to leave her. I was like the girl let the man talk dang. He didn't get on his knee to ask for marriage because she was freaking out and assuming things. But at least, in the end, she accepted his proposal. Even though at first she believed he was going back to his MC.

Review: Magnolia Lake

Magnolia Lake Magnolia Lake by Emily Paige Skeen
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Spoilers? There’s a possibility it’ll be a bunch splash here and there if not it’ll be less.

This book was actually even though I thought Cora was very stubborn and didn’t see the way Landon felt about her. When her family and friends knew how he felt. Even Rex knew that she had a thing for Landon, she didn’t figure it out until Prom night. Which I thought was a good thing, because I was like finally.

They got together, after everything Landon proved and showed her how he felt. Not only that what I came to realize before the tragedy happen to Cora when she got kidnapped by her ex boyfriend Jeff was she was very oblivious to a lot things, she was very gullible and didn’t see or believe in a lot of things that others saw. I mean very naïve too. Just like when Landon told her she needed to go to the cops when he found out about the bruise on her own that Jeff left after he grab her without her permission.

She just assume that Jeff wasn’t going to do anything. Until he actually did. Which lead to her getting kidnapped at the mall. Was in Jeff family barn for 10 days. I felt so bad for her because he had a obsession with that girl. Which I was like he needs to realize that when someone doesn’t love you “let it go”.

Like he cheated on her with her best friend Lacey and then tried getting her back. On to apologizing then since that didn’t work for him he started to stalk her every move which was by far scary as heck. Like jheeze Louise. I was glad when Landon came to her rescue (as always) since he cared and love her. But I became really sad when I learned he was paralyzed from the waste down. I was like nooooooo not Landon crying

Review: Don't Kiss in Detention

Don't Kiss in Detention Don't Kiss in Detention by Erica Penrod
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Spoilers here and there.

Before I even get started on this review for this book. All I want to say I need a book with Crue and Emery because I want to know if he’s going to go for what he wants because he likes Emery but he’s not pushing himself to get the girl. Hopefully book four will be about them or something.

So with that being said.... I actually liked this book more than I liked book one. Book one was okay. But also I caught something in this book where they were in the ride with Adelle and they spoke to each other. But in the book with Adelle it wasn’t John she was on the date with it was Kevin.... Adelle ended up with John at the dance after what happened between Kevin ex and the guy Terrance.

Also; I liked the fact that Nile finally realize he actually had feelings for Jovi. Because he actually was mean to her when they first met I mean everybody seem to be. I think due to her ways on the show. Because you’ll actually think that person is a certain when you are watching them on reality tv every week.

I like that she showed Nile that wasn’t who she truly was on the show she showed him the real her. & he also shows her that he actually did want to be with her and he had the same feelings that she had for him.

He saw the real her when he saw how her parents acted towards her especially her father. Because his dad was a horrible dad. Since his father acted like his son was going to ruin his image due to the election. Smh

Review: While You Were Flirting

While You Were Flirting While You Were Flirting by Liwen Y. Ho
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Sooo good!!!

Spoilers.. here and there

What a surprise I didn’t know that Nolan was Max brother. Well step brother, and been saying I can’t wait until Nolan gets his own book. I see why Nolan book is going to be last since Max is his step brother. Probably more friends coming in before him. Hence, Nolan and Seth are best friends and Max and Liam are best friends. Interesting!!

With that being said.... I really liked this book I wasn’t disappointed at all. To know who the girl that Max chased in the book with Liam and Ava which was Angel. Was interesting to know.

I was glad that he figure things out and stopped trying to be a player (well more so running from his feelings) Angel helped him with that and he helped Angel with her fears of driving. I think they worked well together. Not only did they work together. But even though they were polar opposites they were meant to be.

Even with everything that they said to each other when it came to their feelings you could tell both of them liked each other. Even Evan and Emma the founders of the school saw that in them both especially Emma. I was surprised how Seth never popped up in this book since Evan is his cousin. I’m trying to think was Ava the one that got adopted by them.

Probably was probably didn’t I can’t remember if it was this series or not!!! But I liked the fact that they both liked Angel and Max... and to also give Max a chance at the acting gig was great for him. I can’t wait until I read the next book to this series about Juliet and Jaxson I know it’s about to be good and interesting!!!

Review: Don't Kiss Your Lab Partner

Don't Kiss Your Lab Partner Don't Kiss Your Lab Partner by Lucy McConnell
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Spoilers... splash here and there••

https://ladiikeiii.wordpress.com/2020...

Okay, so when I first started this book, I was like, hmm, 🤔 do I want to finish this book? Or not! I was tempted to start another book and come back to this one later, but I didn't. I continue to read this one, and I glad I did.

I can't say that this book is the best one yet that Lucy McConnell has written. I've read others by her. But I can say it was good and pretty interesting. It did keep my attention a little. Because I wanted to know what will happen between John and Adelle and what was Nicole was planning to do. Her attempt to ruin their app was stupid over a guy who didn't even want Jeanie like ugh glad that Kevin went after her and hopefully got his girl back because Terrance didn't deserve her.

I also understood what John did for Adelle so that she could win the TACS award. Not only that, in the end, but they also got to be together. Because Nicole finally got removed from John's arms. She was acting like a Leach, but in reality, she wanted Terrance and only wanted to hurt Adelle. But truthfully, she didn't hurt Adelle because John wanted her and only her (Adelle)...

Review: Catching Carly

Catching Carly Catching Carly by Emma Hart
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Spoilers.. just a few.

I don’t know what it about Emma Hart books. But sometimes I get half way over the book towards the middle. But I always want to finish one of her books that I am reading because I want to know what happens.

It’s like with this book. Okay, it turn out WAY better than “Being Brooke” that book was just ugh! Never again. Whereas as this book was actually pretty good. But I was over it towards the end.

I can say I wasn’t really disappointed because this one “Catching Carly” turned out good. When I was reading the one with Brooke and learned that Carly was going to have a book with Cain brother Zeke. I was like I have to read it. I’m actually glad I did and got to find out what happened between them and how they would end up with each other. I’m just glad his ex didn’t ruin anything for them.

Not only that I can’t wait to read “The Upside to Being Single” soon. But I also wonder if Billie Brooke sister will end up with a book or does she have one already if not I would like one, at least!!!!

Review: His Secret Baby

His Secret Baby His Secret Baby by Anne-Marie Meyer
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

***Spoilers. Possibly. Will be some throughout this review***

I was waiting on this book to come out to read this book. Because I was so curious when I was reading Jaxson and Lottie book when Chris popped up at the event. That Penny and her daughter Katie was at. I mean Penny really panic and ran away so fast that it would’ve had you curious as to why she ran and what for.

I was glad I got the chance to read this book; to learn if she would’ve fixed things with her ex-boyfriend. Especially let him be around his daughter and get to know her. Not only that I was glad he stayed long enough to try to fix things with Penny. But what suck was how Penny kept the secret from Chris about who Katie real father was. He even figured out that Tag (their best friend) and Penny was lying about who Katie father was. Because for one Tag couldn’t have any children.

But not only that when Chris did find out about it I think it was wrong of him to runaway from the truth. Though; I did understand why he ran from the truth because he was upset. But it took both he and Penny to figure out that they needed to talk and figure things out for the better. Especially since they both wanted to be with each other and feelings was still there.

In the end; they ended up meeting at the airport trying to get to each other. Which was a good for all three of them. Because a child will always need their father.
