Review: Kiss Me Not

Kiss Me Not Kiss Me Not by Emma Hart
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Not that many spoilers soo...

https://ladiikeiii.wordpress.com/2019...

This was actually a good book; there's much I can say about this book.

Only thing I can say I did have some good laughs while reading it. Though, it was weird and interesting to learn how Halley had raccoons for pets and feeding them peanut butter sandwiches. I kept thinking, will the peanut butter hurt those animals or get stuck. But I guess not since they came back for more.

I also knew that kissing booth was going to end up pulling then together and show them. The feelings they both had for one another. Plus, Preston's sister Reagan was determined to get them together, including Ava, because they both knew that Preston and Halley had a crush on one another. But after I got to end and learning about **** pic, I'm definitely going to read Reagan's story because I'm curious...

Teaching Reading in Today's Elementary Schools Teaching Reading in Today's Elementary Schools by Betty D. Roe
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Read for my college, course class "Instructional practices for Reading Teachers". This book did give important information for the class I had to take, though I hated the course because it was just horrible.

Review: Her Secret

Her Secret Her Secret by Penelope Bloom
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

There's a couple of spoilers in and there. But probably not that many.,

https://ladiikeiii.wordpress.com/2019...

So I finally got around to reading the next book to this series. & I can say I am not disappointed. It was really good; I also can say that I knew Peter had a thing for Violet; I mean, when Derek was flirting with her on the first day, it was funny how mad he got and demanded her to come to his office. I was a dang boy; just tell this girl you like her already. But I also understood how he didn't want to trust the next female who works for him because of what Kristen did to him. Which was just horrible it's funny how people can do things to you like that and don't think anything is wrong.

One thing I can say if it weren't for him meeting Violet, I don't think he would've gotten the rights back for his book. That he wrote, when someone steals your hard work, and you have actual proof of that work everywhere, you can get it again even if you sign something or you didn't because that is stealing. I was glad he got his thriller back with the help of Violet. I did want to smack him because I thought he was about to diss Violet and not talk to her just because she never told him about her daughter, I mean who wouldn't when someone you trying to get a job from telling you, only way you get this job is if you have no obligations (like kids, etc.) at home...

But in the end they made a happy family; I also was wondering how in the world Peter and Violet fit into this series because I was like how do they know any of the guys or women in this book.. but I learn that Violet is best friends with Lilith and Peter is friends with Bruce... I also see that William still wild...

Review: Awk-Weird

Awk-Weird Awk-Weird by Avery Flynn
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

There's a possibility of a few or more spoilers than it should be in this review... but let's see...

https://ladiikeiii.wordpress.com/2019...

So okay, I definitely liked this book. I didn't expect Tess to be with a Hockey player I was for sure she was going to end up with Finn. So with that being said, I want a book with Finn since his brothers and sister got one...

But let's continue with Cole and Tess's story. I so didn't see that coming.. with how they ended up together and she being a parent... I felt like Tess was some like Lucy some-what whinny but wasn't beyond whiny and complaining as Lucy was about her weight... I understood why she felt like things were temporary. But it was annoying too because she kept on running away from things when it got series. To me, she didn't give Cole a chance to be with her, and also he didn't speak his mind in the way he felt. Like the others in the books with the hockey players, they both ended up saying bad things to each other and walking away...

But what I can say I was happy that it was a girl who got the guy by explaining her fuck-ups because clearly in the other books it was the guys apologizing when half the time the women were idiots and didn't see that the guys love them. I could tell that Cole was in love with her like he kept sending her out these voicemails and couldn't wait to get home. He even didn't care about that way. She kept bringing up random things when she got nerves. He actually answered back. I was glad when her friends Fallon, Gina, and Lucy, got some sense into her when it came to her and Cole's relationship. Because she couldn't see that Cole didn't have those feelings for Marti as he had before because both he and Marti had moved on she to herTech guy and her own to Tess. I did think that they had a son because of what was mentioned in the book with Stucky and Zara... but whatever.

P.S. this book mentioned all the guys, but Stucky, when in his book, it mentioned Cole a lot. I was like I thought they were friends where is he at... between that I cannot wait until book 3 "Loud Mouth" comes about Ian.. plus I am hoping for a book with Alex... definitely need one with him too.

Review: Parental Guidance

Parental Guidance Parental Guidance by Avery Flynn
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This book was really good. I was glad that it actually a series about the Ice Knights hockey team. Since the Tomboy book was based on a hockey player...

https://ladiikeiii.wordpress.com/2019...

But anyway, not that many spoilers in this book.

But I will say I am not disappointed at all in this book. I had to start this story because Awk-ward had come out, and I wanted to read that one but first Parental guidance first... I think that the polar opposite does attract, and it does take that one guy to make you do things you've been too shy or think you aren't able to do. Caleb was the right fit for especially with the orgasm and liking her miniatures artisans. She was a different plus; this my first time hearing about artisans... & I love all types of art since art is my passion. Other than that.... this book was good, but I do want to know what teammate had smash Asha sister.... probably was Christean or whatever his last name is spelled like... but I can't wait to read part 2 with Cole and Tess... I didn't see that coming with Cole and Tess... this sis mentioned Cole child though so more likely he's having a boy and when we get to book two we already know this lol! I think Cole needed this change the same as Caleb... I figured Caleb had a learning disability soon as he said the letters move around. I'm like... yeah, he got dyslexia... & the teacher that made him read in front of the class every day makes me want to karate chop his *** ass hard! So wrong to do that to someone who can't read or have a hard time with numbers etc. and make it a joke. But at lease, Caleb came out strong, and he has a family in his mom and his teammates who don't care if he has such learning disability or not even Zara though she said some hurtful things at least they worked it out in the end and got married and had a daughter. Though; I did want to know where Caleb's dad went... and why he wasn't in his life...

Review: Love Lessons

Love Lessons Love Lessons by Daphne James Huff
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

More like lessons learn...

https://ladiikeiii.wordpress.com/2019...

*** There's a couple of spoilers in this review; not that many but a few****

I'm glad I got around to reading this book though it took me a while. This book is pretty different, but it's interesting to learn that these stories from this series are based on older books. That's what I never really read or want to read.

But I did like the Sonnets... & not only that I was glad that Rex friends Bronx and Reggie finally spoken up to Rex because clearly he was controlling ( more so wanted to control things) and he finally realize when Zara left for a family emergency he was an idiot to jump down her throat and was so worried about that prize that he's dad never won. & speaking of the dad... I bet he felt some way too because Rex actually won something that he clearly didn't win. Plus, he was the one to set it up (more so agree) to the group of three for the prize competition. But in the end, he got fool because regardless, Rex won even when he nor Zara was there. I think he would've been better off with his mom's help than his dad. But his right to talk to his dad to get honest answers.

But I was glad in the end that he finally came to his senses and got his girl. & with Zara he parents just wanted her to learn to be on her own without her friends or her family being there. I understand; because it's like you never want to go someplace or be somewhere alone. & you have actually to learn to do things on your own eventually. I was glad that she was learning too, and she and her friends Rosalie and Maria ended up with Bronx and Reggie.

Review: Meet Me at Half Court: All's Fair in Love and Sports Series

Meet Me at Half Court: All's Fair in Love and Sports Series Meet Me at Half Court: All's Fair in Love and Sports Series by Julie L. Spencer
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

https://ladiikeiii.wordpress.com/2019...

This book was really good. For one, I finished this book in two days... I just started on this yesterday... & I'm now finished. I figured that Chris (Christine) was going to choose Dylan over Eddie... like get real who wants to date a guy name, Eddie. Dylan sounds hotter...

But anyway this was a good book. Though cause I liked how the girl was a tomboy and everybody liked her and called her Chris because of her skills on the court and being a tomboy! I don't think Eddie would've done all of the things and know all of the things as Dylan did when it came to Christine. Because all he cared about was wanting to bang her, whereas Dylan didn't mind kissing Christine but not taking it to far. I was like Eddie better not try raping her. & I was glad he didn't. & I was also glad when Chris finally realize that she wanted Dylan to cover Eddie. I mean clearly, everybody, including Dylan's mom, wanted her with Dylan. Not only that, EVERYBODY thought that Chris & Dylan were together even when Eddie was locked away in Juvie...

Review: The Help

The Help The Help by Callie Rose
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Soon good; but the ending

https://ladiikeiii.wordpress.com/2019...

Bruh

This book was really good! Like sheesh!

***There are a few spoilers in this review***

Omg, how good is this book; like these guys were horrible to her, and I am like they have to like her. But also broken her trust in the end. When her mom got the blame for the murder of Iris. I can't wait to read book two because I want to know what happens next. But I have to read a couple of books first before I get to the next book. Maybe two at least..:

But ugh! It was so wrong for them to get her to trust them and then use her and don't have her back when it came to her mom getting locked up. I cannot wait until everything comes to light about Iris's death and among all the lies that town has... Plus, I believe Savannah was spreading a bunch of lies about Harlow. & the police are just a bad as the people. Like sheesh, and what happened on the first day of school was by far the worse, but I was glad that she didn't back down to her bullies and made them feel weak... but those guys ugh! But enough she ended up having *** with Lincoln more than once. Like she builds that trust, I was glad that she didn't mention to them that she was a cancer survivor. They probably would've used that or mistreated her for having cancer at a young age until she better; was able to live...

I definitely want to smack those guys that crap though for a lot of things like TRUST is something serious, and it's sucks when it's actually BROKEN. Because you learn not to trust anyone, especially those who hurt you. & 9/10 in either book two or three those guys going to try to get back in good with her, and I hope she either doesn't forgive them or take a while to forgive them for what they did. It doesn't matter if they didn't want to speak up; that girl's mother is going to jail for something she didn't do, and the ONLY person she has is her mother, who got taken away right in front of her...

Review: Hard Truth

Hard Truth Hard Truth by Emily Goodwin
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

*** There are spoilers throughout this review***

https://ladiikeiii.wordpress.com/2019...

I had got this book as an ARC but didn’t get the chance to READ it before it came out due to me reading different other books at the time.

But......

Finally got around to reading this book. When I started, I was like she better not get into a three-way relationship because I don’t want her with Michael (I by far hate that name), but anyways; I was like how can she not see that Alex liked her more than his job really...

& soon her baby father came into the picture her feeling from him came back. I was saying to myself; girl Michael isn’t the ONE FOR YOU. You better not pick him over Alex. I didn’t like Mike's mom. She seems kind of well no, she was horrible because she says mean things if the kid's personality isn’t like her. I was waiting and see if Harper was going to mention she half - Mexican & that makes her twin daughters mix raced too.

Not only that Mike wasn’t for her because for one he didn’t care she a relationship with Alex he still try to get with her and make her move and date him.. whereas Alex didn’t do any of those things I was glad when she had that talk with Tessa so that she could see clearly. & her mom knew who was the right guy for her too. She (Harper) knew when it came to that necklace. But I was also glad when Max got locked up that problem should’ve been dealt with because he could’ve clearly hurt her (Harper) & even her kids if they were there with her. He was just a horrible creepy pervert person...

P.S. I don’t know why I keep thinking Tessa going to end up with Michael, her best friend (Harper) baby daddy 🤣 , but I hope not; I o want a story on both Mike and Tessa. One will Micheal find someone who loves him, and he loves her back, and feel the same way he felt for Harper he does for his new girl. Whereas I want Tessa to find love into a guy though she gay... I want the guy to come and change her mind about not dating men... I don’t know I am just curious as to who book 3 to this series going to be about...

Review: Ryder

Ryder Ryder by R. Linda
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

***Spoilers; not that much but it's a few***

https://ladiikeiii.wordpress.com/2019...

I got this as an ARC, but at the time, I didn't start it early before it was released on October 1st... I definitely wasn't disappointed. That's for sure. The author did her thing in this book!

In my mind, I think that it's Cohen that may end up with Jack. Because I don't see it being Jayden since I already know who Jayden is... I finally figured out where he came from when he mentioned prom & he taken Indie well was going to take her. But Cohen not so much. Since there are two books about both Jayden & Cohen, I am sooo curious as to who it might be, they'll end up with.. plus I am waiting & waiting for Jack's story... I got everyone's story, but his...

Plus I can't stand Chace omg... like he's putting Bailey through so much I just want to run him over with a car or put peanut butter in his shoes like that girl did her boyfriend... he even harmed Christina if you think about it especially when you read the book on her... you can't even hate her in this one because of her story and how she changed which I was glad for. I already can tell who's going to end up with Jayden 9 out of 10. It's Lennon because that boyfriend of hers is horrible. Lord knows I cannot stand a woman beater. I can't wait for Jayden's book to come. & Lennon end up with a better man! But other than that this book was so good ... just like the actual scandalous main series... I am glad that Chace got what he deserved. He is a horrible person and deserved to get beat down; that beating to me wasn't enough. But clearly, you could tell something was wrong with him. To him, he was acting out; to almost rape, among other things. He seriously was a problem plus it was good that Christina left... clearly, she wasn't in the right mindset when it came to Chace and even Bailey who she hated for no reason...

Review: A Lie for a Lie

A Lie for a Lie A Lie for a Lie by Helena Hunting
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

*** There's a spoiler throughout this book***

https://ladiikeiii.wordpress.com/2019...

I got t. h.i. s book as an ARC I got to READ it before it's release date.....
.
.

This book was sooo good! I can't wait until book two with his sister. I knew that he's sister was going to end up with his sister... but I wonder who the guy is though!

But anyway I glad that Lainey forgave Rook and taken him back even though he lied about his job, which I understood why he lied about it. But I was kind of iffy when he was rude when she was telling him about her have a four-month-old. But also felt bad for him when Lainey didn't want him to hold Kody... but glad she gave him a chance to hold him and get to know his son and come back into her life.

Also, that guy Walter was a stalker if you looked at because of the way he was acting and knew when Lainey leaves her home and come back. I was like what a creep. & then he tried to come for Rook, but I was glad and happy when they was still together and fool Walter who thought he was going to be there for Lainey when RJ was going on the road... I am kind of excited to learn about the new guys from the Seattle NHL team ... since I got to know the guys from the Chicago team. Besides except the one guy "Darren" from Pucked Love. Since I haven't gotten the chance to read tha... no, I did get a chance but hadn't finished it. Which I think I'm on chapter one or two. But anyway...

I understood why Lainey's parents hated RJ but also understood Rook too because it was a reason for his LIE and him not contacting her too. It goes for Lainey too. She also LIED about her not driving; and also keeping her pregnancy to herself. I doubt she would've told him; but Eden said it was fate that brought them together (RJ and Rook).... it was meant for Lainey to move Chicago... I was glad she did because you could tell they cared about each other. I also knew that well was hoping that she would've ended up pregnant and she did not only that I want her best friend Eden to move to Seattle and get with one of the guys from the team.

Also, I wasn't disappointed with this book. It pulled me in from beginning to end. I can't wait until January of 2020 for the next book to come out!!!!!!!
